| Hiya. John Anderson here, doing my first-ever bit of SharePoint blogging outside the confines of Bamboo Nation (where it's my privilege to serve as Managing Editor).
I just wanted to say "hello" and publicly state what an honor it is to be a member of the Sharing the Point Asian Tour team. Dux Raymond Sy first mentioned to me his idea for an Asian SharePoint tour sometime back in the late spring or early summer of 2010, and I wasted no time in volunteering my services as a lead blogger if such a tour were to come to pass.
That the tour would come to pass was never a certainty, but as the all-star team came together (I think of these guys as a veritable Justice League of SharePoint ... roll call: Joel Oleson, Paul Swider, Mark Miller, Eric Harlan, Michael Noel, and Dux himself), the likelihood of becoming a reality began to seem foreordained. And once Rob LaMear of Fpweb.net came on board to sponsor the tour, writing a check that can only be described as superheroic, there was no stopping us.
In my role as "embedded journalist" on the Sharing the Point Asian Tour, the inaugural outing of this merry band of thieves, you can expect to see me posting here daily throughout the Tour come March, but I may pop in from time to time prior to then as well with updates on tour planning. I also hope to convince members of the SharePoint Justice League to drop in for some drive-by posting during the tour, but I can't promise anything on that score as they'll be earning their keep by speaking at the Sharing the Point events. No matter what happens though, I promise that there will be no shortage of tour coverage in this space. |
